Track character for fan-enjoyment scoring (rules v2). type and corners are published circuit facts. overtaking (1-5), chaos (1-3) and straights (1-3) are Paddock Atlas editorial ratings, informed by the circuit facts and race history in the sources; they are game-balancing choices, not measurements. straights feeds our simulated 2026 Overtake Mode boost, which is our own model and not an FIA rule. Audit against sources before public launch, like the climate data.
Verified circuit facts for the Zoom Out reveal, each with its sources. firstRace is the circuit's first Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix (not the first race of any kind held there). moment is one well-documented moment from the circuit's history, worded to say only what the sources agree on. The latest winner comes from data/winners.json. A circuit without an entry, or an entry without a field, simply shows less in the reveal: never fill a gap with an unsourced fact. To add another series, give the fact its own series name; nothing here assumes Formula 1.
Named corners for the Zoom Out 'corner' challenge. The page gets names and alternate names only, never the circuit; the list covers six circuits so it never narrows the answer to the three in play. Alternate names (aka) are accepted as the same corner: they are names the sources use for the same place. Names are as given by the sources below; corners without a widely used name (most are numbered) are left out rather than named here.
SIMULATED Straight Mode zones for Paddock Atlas: the longest near-straight stretches of each circuit's outline (data/circuits.json), found by game/tools/build_zones.py. They are not FIA activation zones, which are set for each event. from/to are point indexes into the outline; a zone with to < from wraps past the outline's first point.
